Great Ramen. A little intimidating for a newbie. Stick with the traditional and all will be well. My wife had the a la carte version with the thicker noodles but she would have preferred the thinner ones. The Black Garlic was VERY garlicky. I like it but it was too much for my wife. Friendly service. It was great that they had parking. Definitely off the beaten path and feels like a place that locals go to eat vs tourists which was a plus for me.
Golden Pork Ramen is hands down one of the best spots in Oahu for an authentic yet affordable Japanese ramen experience. I tried all three of their signature ramen, and each one was amazing! My personal favorite was the Black Garlic Ramen—the rich, deep flavor and perfectly cooked noodles made it unforgettable. The service is great, and the atmosphere is cozy, making it a must-visit for ramen lovers. Plus, if you’re a regular, don’t forget to ask for their reward stamp card—10 visits earn you a free bowl of ramen! Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving quality ramen in Honolulu.
I was so happy to see vegan ramen on the menu. The ramen is delicious and the desserts are amazing. I had a warabi mochi matcha tiramisu with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream which was one of the best desserts I've ever had, mmmmmmmm.
The neighborhood surrounding the restaurant is a little rough, and the outside seems a little off, however once you walk into the door, all that went away. The venue is cozy, will decorated and welcoming. We ordered during happy hour which is from 11:30-12:30, and for the price vs value this is the best ramen I've had for a long time. The staff was also super friendly and efficient. I highly recommend black garlic ramen and the karage. Would definitely return here on my next Hawaii trip.
Coming here for a bowl of ramen was a highlight of my week! The mackerel is delicious and the dipping (tsukemen) ramen is my favorite! The service is great — was seated right away and was well attended by the staff.
The first meal I wanted after landing in Honolulu was a great bowl of ramen and Golden Pork delivered! I ordered the Black Garlic Tsukemen which was savory and rich. My wife ordered the original Tonkotsu ramen and the broth was porky and satisfying. The Grilled Mackerel appetizer was also delicious. Overall I walked out of this place full and happy.
We came here twice during our 10 day trip in Hawaii. Delicious ramen / tsukemen - the thick noodles are the perfect soft and chewy. Price is reasonable especially during happy hour. And friendly staff. Also recommend the mackerel. There may be a line so get here early. Definitely worth it to uber from Waikiki.
We had the spicy miso ramen , black garlic ramen and tsukemen along with a side of gyoza
